Street Constuction Update

D&D contractors will lay 4.5 inches of new road asphalt on Wagon Trail and End Gate tomorrow, Friday, Sept 8. End Gate will be finished on Monday if it is not finished tomorrow. Wagon Trail will be blocked to all thru traffic during asphalt laying as two asphalt machines will work in tandem to apply the asphalt moving from NW Military to Shavano Drive. Once asphalt crew has moved beyond your home, your home is again accessible by car. D&D asks all residents on Wagon Trail and End Gate be out of their driveways before 8AM on Friday. D&D recommends residents who need to access their home throughout the day park near Shavano Drive and call Barry Bonn @ (210) 371-6504 to be shuttled to their home. The final 3 inches of top layer asphalt will be laid later into the project (once construction is moved beyond Wagon Trail to ensure the final road surface is in not damaged by heavy construction vehicles).
Next week D&D contractors will be moving to 300 Block of Fawn to install flood barriers, move mailboxes and begin preparations for rock sawing the new road curbs. D&D will be also moving to Chimney Rock road in the next few weeks to start preparations on that road as well. After 300 Block of Fawn and Chimney Rock, Shavano Drive will begin moving down from Chimney Rock and towards NW Military.
