Street Bond Projects Town Hall / Open House is January 18th

230118 - Street Project Town Hall
Wednesday, January 18, 2023 @ 6PM
City Hall Council Chambers
Meeting will not discuss De Zavala Road (separate future meeting)

On at 6:00PM on January 18th, the City of Shavano Park will host a town hall and open house at City Hall (900 Saddletree) to update residents on the planned reconstruction of the following streets: Bent Oak, Chimney Rock, Cliffside, End Gate, Fawn, Saddletree, Shavano, Wagon Trail, Windmill and the five cul-de-sacs sacs of Elm Spring, Honey Bee, Hunters Branch, Hunters Branch South, AND Turkey Creek.  These streets require detailed engineering plans and a formal bidding process. De Zavala Road and Post Oak Way entrance also planned will be addressed in future meetings.

The town hall will begin with a presentation from staff, the City Engineers and CPS Energy followed by a questions and answer session.  After the town hall an open house will continue where residents may review the plans and ask City Engineers specific questions concerning their street and property.  The objectives of the town hall are to update residents on the plans and to gain input from residents prior to releasing the Request for Proposal and selecting the contractor.

Why this is important to you: During construction, many driveways and mailboxes will be affected; traffic and access will temporarily be impacted; and most CPS service gas lines will be replaced or relocated.  Prior to construction, Shavano Park water crews will be relocating and replacing many water service lines.  Once the contractor is selected, follow on meetings are planned to address the specific details of construction. More info available at
