One of the most effective ways to solve crimes is through the use of evidence captured on video surveillance. The Shavano Park Police Department now has a program called the Community Security Camera Program where citizens and businesses can register their exterior facing surveillance cameras in an effort to assist us in solving crimes. This program does not and cannot provide active surveillance of your property. Participation in this program is completely voluntary and the Shavano Park Police Department will always get your consent to view the images or footage that you capture from your camera system. There is no fee required to register your camera system.

By registering your external security cameras in this program you can assist the Shavano Park Police Department respond to criminal incidents within the City. Knowing where these cameras are located around the city saves valuable time during investigations. By registering you will help the Police Department quickly identify nearby cameras that may have captured criminal activity.
