Municipal Court of Record No. 1 in the City of Shavano Park

  Municipal Court of Record No. 1 in the City of Shavano Park is in session on the third Thursday of each month. Check-in begins at 3:00pm. Court session begins at 4:00pm.

On November 14, 2022, the Shavano Park City Council approved Ordinance O-2022-011 establishing the Municipal Court of Record No. 1 in the City of Shavano Park in accordance with Texas Law.

The mission of the Municipal Court of Record No. 1 in the City of Shavano Park is to provide a neutral, courteous, and fair forum for the trial of all Class C misdemeanor offenses arising under Texas civil and criminal statutes and city ordinances. The judge of this Court is appointed by the City Council to preserve, protect, and defend the United States Constitution, the Texas Constitution and the laws of Texas.

The Municipal Court Office and its officers are dedicated to the principals of impartiality, fairness, integrity, separation of powers, and judicial independence.

If you have received a citation (ticket), you may be eligible for the following:
 
After reading the Defensive Driving Course requirements and if you are eligible for the defensive driving course, you may submit the Defensive Driving Mail Request Form to the Court no later than your appearance date along with a check or money order made payable to the City of Shavano Park in the amount of $144.00.  Payment must be made with a copy of your Texas Driver's license and current proof of Texas insurance.

A request for deferred disposition must be submitted in writing by mail or made in person with payment in full no later than your appearance date noted on your citation.  Because the costs and fees vary according to the offense, you will need to contact the Court to learn the exact amount(s) owed for your citation(s).  You must also submit to the Court a copy of a valid Class "C" Drivers License.

If you have not requested and paid in full for deferred disposition by your appearance date, you MUST appear before the Shavano Park Municipal Court Judge on the appearance date noted on your citation.
