This is an Unofficial Tabulation of the Election results. Provisional ballots will be delivered to the Voter Registrar on Monday, May 14, 2012. The Voter Registrar has three days to review the provisional ballots and determine whether they will be accepted or rejected. The provisional ballots will be returned to the Early Voting Ballot Board who will then meet to count or not count (depending on the Voter Registrar’s disposition) the ballots. The presiding judge of the early voting ballot board shall make a new return sheet of the votes.

Stage One of the City’s drought management plan is triggered when the official daily level of the Edwards Aquifer drops below 650 feet. Since the aquifer level has dropped below 650 feet--the City Manager has put into effect Stage One of the drought management plan. The following water restrictions apply to all residential and commercial water users in the City of Shavano Park.

As energy prices soar and homeowners are left paying the bill, many homeowners dream of an affordable solution to the monthly raid on the family piggybank. If only there were a solution that was relatively inexpensive, easy to understand and easy to implement.
What would you say if as a base case the average homeowner in Shavano Park could expect the cost of solar energy installation to be about $25,000 before rebates and tax credits (with net cost after rebates and credits of about $9,000)? It may sound too good to be true, but it’s not.

The City of Shavano Park City Council has designated April 14, 2012 as “City-Wide Garage Sale Day.” All residents are encouraged to participate by holding a garage sale at their homes or by joining with neighbors to hold joint sales.

The City Council and staff would like to thank all those who attended the February NW Military Hwy public hearing sponsored by the Planning and Zoning Commission. This type of meeting is an essential part of our City’s three year plus Town Plan process intended to involve citizens as we work to manage the future while maintaining the rural feel of the community.

The City of Shavano Park's General Election is May 12, 2012. There are three alderman seats up for appointment on the City Council. Citizens interested in running for these positions may obtain a candidate packet beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012 until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2012.

City Hall will be closing in observance of Christmas and New Year's. Solid waste services will not be affected by these closures.
