Police Sergeant

The City of Shavano Park is seeking accepting applicants for the position of Police Sergeant.    The positions is directly  directly responsible for assuring compliance with Department goals, objectives, values and vision to achieve the Department’s stated mission. Work is performed with considerable latitude and independent judgment. Performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to, scheduling, monitoring, inspecting, and coordinating the work activities of Police Officers. Starting Salary $44,507

Code Enforcement Officer - Certified Peace Officer 

The City of Shavano Park is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Code Enforcment Officer.  The Code Enforcement Officer to perform inspections related to laws, codes, zoning ordinances and regulations to incode maintaining records and reports. Investigate alleged violations, issuing citations, and coordinating activities with other departments and agencies; conducts inspections and follow-up investigations on public and staff complaints regarding compliance with applicable City ordinances.  Must have valid Texas Peace Officers License / Texas Code Enforcement certificate preferred or must be able to complete Texas Code Enforcement Certification within 12 months of hire.  Starting Salary 36,616

Reserve Police Officer

Job Description: Must have valid Texas Peace Officers License and Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. This is a non-supervisory position requiring 24 hours of duty per calendar month. You will be required to investigate criminal offenses, investigate traffic accidents, respond to calls for police service, and to enforce federal and state laws and local ordinances, as well as performing other duties as may be assigned. This is a non-paid reserve position.
