Reserve Police Officer
Job Description: Must have valid Texas Peace Officers License and Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. This is a non-supervisory position requiring 24 hours of duty per calendar month. You will be required to investigate criminal offenses, investigate traffic accidents, respond to calls for police service, and to enforce federal and state laws and local ordinances, as well as performing other duties as may be assigned. This is a non-paid reserve position.

CORPORAL (FTO)

The City of Shavano Park Police Department has an opening for a full-time corporal.  Candidates for this position must be 21 years or age or over, possess a TCLEOSE Basic Peace Officer certificate, must be insurable, and must be able to pass a written entrance level examination, physical ability assessment, comprehensive background investigation, psychological assessment, and medical examination. 

 Job Description:  Must be flexible and able to work all shifts.  Must possess a valid Texas Peace Officer’s License.  The strong candidate will have two (2) years of law enforcement experience, and police field training or other leadership experience is preferred. This position requires investigation of criminal offenses; community outreach; preparing and presenting criminal cases; traffic accident investigation; and responding to calls for police service.  Other duties include participating in specialized investigations; providing field training, acting as duty shift supervisor in the absence of the duty sergeant, and completing other duties as assigned.  Starting salary $38.446.72.
