A. David Marne was elected Mayor of Shavano Park in May 2005. He is currently in his 4th term as Mayor of the City. Mayor Marne's career includes service in the U.S. Air Force (Retired). While in the military, he was responsible for coordinating the movement and recovery of wounded hostages and troops throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
His job required intense attention to detail, creativity and the ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities. He is currently the President and Owner of Half-Priced Real Estate, a successful real estate business in the San Antonio metropolitan area. His lifetime of community service has culminated in his election as Mayor and the opportunity to serve City residents.
Mayor Pro-Tem Bruce Baumann

Bruce Baumann was elected to the City Council as an Alderman in May 2006. He is currently in his 2nd term on the City Council and also serves as Mayor Pro-Tem of the City.
Mayor Pro-Tem Baumann is also a former Chairman of the City's Planning & Zoning Commission.
He serves the City as a member of the Employee Benefits and Compensation Committee and in the City's Policy Review Committee.
His work career includes service as a Senior Executive with the Solo Serve Stores (Retired) and is self-employed as Owner & President of Bruce Baumann Real Estate Inc.
Alderwoman Mary Werner

Alderwoman Mary Werner was elected to the Shavano Park City Council in May 2005. She is currently in her 4th term as Alderwoman and also previously served as Mayor Pro-Tem.
Alderwoman Werner also serves on the City's Employee Benefits and Compensation Committee and is a member of the Trinity Aquifer Water Well Development Workgroup.
Alderwoman Werner's work career includes extensive service as a legal professional and is currently self-employed as a grant writer for non-profit organizations.
Alderman Ken McClure

Alderman Ken McClure was elected to the Shavano Park City Council in May 2006. He is currently in his 2nd term as Alderman and also serves on the City's Investment's Committee & the Employee Benefits & Compensation Committee.
Alderman McClure's career includes service as a Senior Executive with the USAA Corporation (Retired) and service as a U.S. Air Force Officer- C-5 Aircraft Commander (Retired).
He is currently Executive Director of ACTS Missions--a non-profit organization that exists to bring God's word through the A.C.T.s retreat format.
Alderwoman Etta Fanning

Alderwoman Etta Fanning was elected to the City Council in May 2010. She is a former member of the City’s Board of Adjustments and was appointed to serve on the City’s Comprehensive Town Plan Technical Advisory Committee.
Alderwoman Fanning holds MD, MPH, and PhD degrees, with over fifteen years experience as a medical director in health economic outcomes research and as a medical director within the bio-pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Fanning’s work has been targeted to evidence-based guidelines for physician practices, with publications in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Fanning was Director of Clinical Outcomes at the Texas Diabetes Institute in San Antonio, and Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center before she began her work in private industry, where she earned awards for Best Disease Management article and Leadership-Achievement for her work in diabetes and cardiovascular disease studies. At present, her consulting practice includes wound management/practice guidelines, medical writing, and best- practice initiatives. Dr. Fanning is a local and national speaker engaged in the ongoing objective to prevent complications associated with diabetes and obesity.
Since 2009, Alderwoman Fanning has coordinated the Neighborhood WATCH Safety Program, expanding throughout Shavano Park. In 2011, Alderwoman Fanning achieved Certified Municipal Official (CMO) designation, a voluntary certification program sponsored by the Texas Municipal League and the Association of Mayors, Council members and Commissioners. This certification with 77.9 hours is a commitment from Alderwoman Fanning to serve all citizens of Shavano Park with evidence-based decision making which promotes good policy and transparency of government in Shavano Park. Alderwoman Fanning grew up in San Antonio and has lived in Shavano Park for 7 years.
Alderwoman Michele Bunting Ross
Alderwoman Michele Bunting Ross was elected to the City Council in May 2011.
Alderwoman Ross has served actively as a City of Shavano Park volunteer. She was appointed to the City’s Planning & Zoning Commission (serving on the Ordinance Review Committee), 2 terms; was appointed to serve on the City’s Comprehensive Town Plan Technical Advisory Committee; served on the Town Plan Core Committee (where she co-wrote, drafted and designed the City’s new Town Plan); was appointed and chaired the current Communications Committee; and was appointed and chaired the previous ad hoc Newsletter Committee.
Alderwoman Ross is the Owner/Broker of Bunting Ross Realty. She has recently been elected to the San Antonio Board of Realtors Board of Directors representing over 7000 professionals in the largest trade association in San Antonio.
Alderman Ross supports continued positive economic development, providing first class city services, maintaining our quality of life, development of our Town Plan initiatives, and ensuring that the needs of all our City’s residents are met.
